Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli is a re-creation of Ferrari's own racing series, where drivers unleash the world's most powerful, elegant cars on premiere international race tracks. The title was given a uniquely magical touch from GP2 driver Bruno Senna, nephew of F1 legend Ayrton, who acted as technical consultant on the game's handling.

Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli is a graphical beast - especially when running at 1080p on PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. The game has 15 international racing circuits along with multiple gameplay modes such as Ferrari Challenge Seasons, Time Trial, Quick Race, and Endurance. The 16 competitor online multiplayer action is unmatched in terms of framerate and fun, even allowing Ferrari fanatics to race against European players who own the game. Downloadable content will be continually released for the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli community beginning in September.

Will Wright on critical SPORE video game reviews from some users...

EA’s biggest PC game of the year and the brainchild of renowned game designer Will Wright, “Spore” hits store shelves today. The game has won Best of E3 awards and been lavished with positive pre-release coverage in the gaming and mainstream press.
So why is it getting 8s and 9s rather than 10s? And what does Wright make of reactions such as that of the New York Times‘ review, which concludes:

“Now if Mr. Wright and the Maxis team just take another few passes through Spore’s later stages and release a big revision patch next year, they may finally end up with a game to match the stellar toy they have already unleashed.”

On Friday, I had a chance to talk to Wright about the response the game has been getting, giving him a chance to clarify the goals of his design team and to reveal how he’s playing “Spore.” (As the week progresses, we’ll be posting Wright’s thoughts on each of the game’s stages, which he also shared during the interview.)

Sony price PlayStationPortable PSP 3000 £150 in UK

Sony's new PlayStationPortable, the PSP 3000, is out on October 17 in the UK priced £150.

The new PSP will be almost £20 more expensive that the current model - the PSP Slim and the PSP Lite.

New features include -

Call of Duty - World at War video game Xbox 360 & PC beta in October

Call of Duty - World at War Award-Winning video game out 14th November.

Boot camp will soon take on a new meaning, as Activision confirme Call of Duty - World at War multiplayer beta in October for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and separately for download on Windows PC. The beta will serve as an early chance for players to practice the tactics needed for survival in the intense chaos of Call of Duty - World at War’s Pacific and European theatres. Players will experience the game’s new squad system, as well as fan favourite perks and kill streaks.

All preparation for the full battle will commence on 14th November, 2008 when Call of Duty: World at War is released to retailers nationwide.

“We are excited to share a sneak peak of Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer with the community,” says Mark Lamia, Treyarch Studio Head. “The team has worked hard to build upon the great history and foundation of Call of Duty multiplayer and we can’t wait to go online to ramp up for our November launch.”

How to stop or protect your XBox live account getting hacked or compromised

Here are some steps you can take to protect yourself.

Some of the common mistakes that lead to users being targeted and some steps to follow:

No1 Mistake: You give away your account password to a Web site advertising free Microsoft Points.

Tip: "It's extremely difficult to recover an account in this situation. If you use that password for anything else, there's a good chance the same hackers are now busy using that password combination on Amazon, eBay, CraigsList, bank accounts, etc."

No2 Mistake: You routinely trade your gamertag around with friends.

Tip: "Passing gamertags makes it easy for people to trade Achievements together or play parts of a game they have not unlocked yet. If you are trading with multiple people and one of them ever gets compromised, a hacker has your gamertag and others' as well."

No3 Mistake: Someone guesses or otherwise obtains your details (such as the answer to your secret question) and resets your password.

Tip: "It's important to remember not to give out personal information. One good thing you can do is change the answer to your secret question. If you make the answer completely unrelated to the question (i.e. Question: What is your favorite TV show? Answer: Avril Lavigne), you're essentially creating a second password."

As social engineering does not involve actual "hacking," it's a difficult and expensive problem to solve. Coming up with proper defenses rests in the hands of Microsoft.

In the meantime, maybe it's time to change your password.
