Gamers can experience the thrills and hard-hitting intensity of MMA fighting by jumping into a match via the “Fight Now” mode. Two weight classes, heavyweight and middleweight, are available that feature STRIKEFORCE champion, Alistair Overeem and former professional wrestler, Bobby Lashley in the heavyweight class. The two middleweights featured are predominantly Jiu-Jitsu fighters – the top ranked Jake Shields, as well as the always entertaining Jason “Mayhem” Miller.

RSPCA launches 'Think Pig' video game on Facebook

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has launched a social game on Facebook to promote the core messages of their THINK PIG campaign in an entertaining and engaging way. The THINK PIG campaign uses a fun Facebook word game to raise awareness of the standards in which pigs are reared. As well as being entertained, players will learn what labels to look out for to buy higher welfare products in the supermarket. The RSPCA is reaching a new audience through this casual gaming approach.

The game, a word quiz that challenges Facebook users to rack up scores against their Facebook friends, includes competitive and engaging features to spread the RSPCA campaign’s message.

Indie horror video game 'The Path' title wins at hóPLAY Bilbao

The first edition of the hóPLAY International Video Game Festival has ended with the announcement of its competition winners during an amusing ceremony at the Alhóndiga center in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. Indie horror title The Path by Belgian development studio Tale of Tales has received two of the six awards: one for Best Design and one for Best Sound. Each award is good for 6,000 Euros. Tale of Tales is celebrating with a 50% discount on the game.
