'HeroCraft' video game service launches on Amazon.com

HeroCraft has this week launched its first selection of Android games on the new Amazon AppStore. This gives Android device owners the opportunity to purchase games directly through HeroCraft or download them from Amazon.

At the moment the free and paid versions of the following games are available: Majesty, Treasures of Montezuma 2, Yumsters!, Alawar's Farm Frenzy and Zum-Zum.

Video game 'Catherine' demo scheduled for release in early 2011!

Atlus' upcoming action-adventure title 'Catherine' has been scheduled a demo release in early 2011. With only a couple of month until it's February release in Japan, many feel it is still unclear as to what the game is actually about. The game's director, Katsura Hashino wishes to debunk any incorrect perceptions or theories regarding the game with this release.

Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) and LucasArts, a division of Lucasfilm Entertainment Company Ltd., today announced that Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures has registered one million users one week after launch on September 15. Clone Wars Adventures is a free-to-play, family-friendly online virtual world based on the popular Cartoon Network animated series, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”

“We are thrilled to have hit the one million player mark in Clone Wars Adventures so quickly and look forward to seeing the player community continue to grow,” said John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment. “Combining the technology, design infrastructure and lessons learned from Free Realms with the amazing Clone Wars brand, we knew we could make a great game, and we’re happy to see that fans of all ages are enjoying the content as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

Spike announces 'Dangan-Ronpa' video game for PSP!

Today, Spike unveiled Dangan-Ronpa (an English title TBD), meaning winning an argument with a bullet, a brand-new action-adventure in which players playing as a high school student investigate murders occurring one after another in the school and prosecute murder suspects at classroom trials. The game will be released for PSP on November 25, 2010 for a suggested retail price of ¥4,980 (without tax) in Japan. North American and/or European release of the game is TBD.
