EA Play announce it's time to “Pass Go and Collect $200” with the release of MONOPOLY Streets. The latest in EA’s top-selling MONOPOLY video game franchise, MONOPOLY Streets places players at street level and brings the family favorite game board to life in full 3-D, delivering an immersive world that constantly evolves as game play unfolds. Under license from Hasbro, MONOPOLY Streets is currently available at retail for the Wii, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, and the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. Additionally, EA released a classic version of MONOPOLY today for the Nintendo DS.

Facebook Monopoly as Facebook and EA Sign Five-Year video game agreement

Electronic Arts announce it has entered into a five-year strategic relationship with Facebook, where more than 200 million people play games every month. The deal will create a simplified, more accessible experience for people who play games and purchase virtual goods on Facebook. Under the terms of the agreement, Facebook Credits will become the exclusive payment method in EA games on Facebook.

Pogo video game players get chance at Monopoly World Championship

Pogo players can participate in the first ever worldwide online qualifier for the MONOPOLY World Championships where one lucky Pogo player will earn a seat to compete against the MONOPOLY elite at the MONOPOLY World Championships 2009 in Las Vegas in October.

Starting August11th, budding hopefuls are invited to register for free with Pogo on any one of its four sites around the world to play as many games as possible of MONOPOLY Here & Now: The World Edition. Every time a player wins a game, they will be awarded one entry into the draw for the online semi-finals. The more games they win, the more entries into the draw, the more chances of reaching the semi-finals.

Thirty two winners (worldwide) will be picked at random and invited to participate in the semi-final, a moderated online skill-based tournament on Pogo. The ultimate winner of the online tournament will get a seat to compete at the MONOPOLY World Championship in Las Vegas**.

Play MONOPOLY between 11th August and 0800GMT on 19th August to be eligible for the prize drawing.
