METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER – Hideo Kojima’s next instalment in the Metal Gear Solid series – will arrive on June 18th, 2010.
Series creator Hideo Kojima has crafted METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER as the next true chapter in the story of legendary special ops expert, Snake (AKA Big Boss), and acts as a direct sequel to the previously released Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Developed specifically for the PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER is set in 1974 towards the end of the cold war and boasts an all-new story penned by Hideo Kojima.

The next official chapter in the story of Naked Snake (a.k.a. Konami unveiled today, a new map, character and reward mode, all now available for METAL GEAR ONLINE, the ultimate squad-based, tactical-espionage action title based on the popular METAL GEAR SOLID franchise. The latest content will be available to players who have purchased the SCENE Expansion Pack.
Best suited for medium-to long-range combat, the new map - Icebound Inferno - will be recognized by fans of the franchise as the famed "Shadow Moses" map from the first METAL GEAR SOLID game. The map features an Arctic Island that consists of a large snowfield with buildings of varying heights.
In addition, the download allows players to use Old Snake as a unique character and the Octo-cam suit as a weapon. In a twist, Old Snake will not become completely invisible when using the suit, but will automatically blend with the environment. The latest download will also include an Auto Matching Reward mode in which the winner of the match wins more reward points than normal. When playing an individual match in this mode, only the winner receives the reward points while in a team match, the team member ranked first will win the reward points.
Metal Gear Online is the online multi-player experience that is included free in the retail version of METAL GEAR SOLID 4 GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS, developed exclusively for the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system. Three expansion packs - GENE, MEME and SCENE - are currently available for purchase via METAL GEAR ONLINE's in-game shop and Konami's shop (https://mykonami.net/mgo/). In addition to traditional methods of payment for purchase, the PlayStation Network Wallet prepay system which is now available as a form of payment.
Metal Gear Solid - rising will use a new video game engine because the Xbox 360 con not handle th Metal Gear Solid 5 game engine.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be using a new engine that Kojima Productions Team needs to craft to compensate for the Xbox 360 and the PC version. The game can still look better than MGS4 in terms of graphics, but they’ll accomplish this feat by utilizing their tools and understanding of the hardware more. It also conveys the imagery that Rising won’t be your conventional MGS title as previous entries were. Games are always improving and it's expected that Rising will surpass MGS4. The real question is why couldn't Kojima just optimize the MGS4 engine and go from there?

With the recent announcement of Konami's latest title 'Metal Gear Solid: Rising', the teaser site for the introduction of Hideo Kojima's other fresh new title 'Mask' is something to keep an eye on, currently containing only an animated graphic of a fragmented mask and an audio clip. However, if there's one thing we can expect from the man behind series such as Metal Gear and Boktai, it's definitely high quality video games.
Also, for fans of the Metal Gear Solid series, and any XBox 360 based gamers who missed out on the epic title MGS4, it looks like Rising is going to be worth investing in. With Raiden featuring as the main protagonist, and containing a timeline set after 4, the game is set to continue the events from previous games as well as elaborating on the already mysterious character of Raiden himself.

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that its heralded PLAYSTATION 3 epic Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Patriots will be released as part of the budget Platinum range from March 5th.
With a new RRP of 29,95 Euro, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots returns following an incredible period as a full-price title. The game saw over three million copies shipped on its release in June 2008 and has won a host of illustrious awards all over the globe, and its continued success saw sales of the long-running Metal Gear series top 26.5 million units.

Three of Konami's most popular games to Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch platforms, including an all-new version of Metal Gear Solid.
The publisher will release Metal Gear Solid Touch, Silent Hill: The Escape and Frogger for the Apple unit in early 2009, with each game specifically designed to make full use of the iPhone’s unique touch screen capabilities.
Metal Gear Solid Touch focuses on action elements of Hideo Kojima’s classic stealth series, and will see series veteran Solid Snake embark on an all-new mission.
Using locations and characters introduced in Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid Touch initially offers eight action-packed stages, with more to be added at a later date.
The new title gives the player control via the Apple systems’ touch panel, and also allows users to pan in and out of the action.
Replay value is also enhanced via bonuses such as wallpapers and images that are attained by completing key elements within the game.
Similarly, Silent Hill: The Escape brings the doom-laden streets of the series’ titular town to iPhone in an first-person action title boasting new strains of macabre adversaries and a dark, brooding atmosphere.
The evergreen Frogger also heads to iPhone in a pixel-perfect conversion of the classic arcade game.
A new generation of gamers can experience the classic 80s coin-op as they steer the little amphibian across a busy street and danger-filled river as he attempts to make it to his lily-pad home in a newly revamped version.

The Tokyo-based studio headed by Metal Gear Solid series composer Norihiko Hibino announced today the release dates for the upcoming NINJA BLADE Original Soundtrack and the “Beanstalk” single, which acts as the NINJA BLADE’s main theme performed by Japanese vocalist Yuki Koyanagi.
“Beanstalk” will be available via digital download on December 24, 2008, while the complete, 2-disc cinematic soundtrack will be released in physical and digital formats on February 4, 2009 in Japan on GEM Impact’s in-house record label, GEM Factory. The jazz-infused and highly intense score will feature close to two and a half hours of original music by GEM Impact’s Norihiko Hibino, Takahiro Izutani, Yoshitaka Suzuki, and Takahide Ayuzawa.
