Rise of Flight PC video game Update Includes New Planes, Multiplayer Fixes and Interface Improvements patch 1.004 download

rise of flight plane screenCompuExpert announced today that Patch 1.004 has gone live in PC flight simulation Rise of Flight - The First Great Air War.

The new update to Rise of Flight includes a number of improvements to the combat flight simulator's interface. A new chat system has been implemented in network play, allowing players to communicate more easily. The flight map can now be accessed and navigated more conveniently, and menus and screens throughout the game have been improved. A profile statistics screen now tracks and displays a wide variety of statistics, keeping players up-to-date with data about their accomplishments.

A number of improvements have been made to Rise of Flight's multiplayer capabilities. In addition to the new chat system, connecting to other players for networked games is now easier, and server creation is now fully functional.

Two new airplanes have also been added to Rise of Flight with the update. The British S.E.5a biplane and the German Pfalz D.IIIa fighter join the other meticulously rendered World War I era planes.

Also included are improvements to the artificial intelligence that allow computer-controlled planes to fly and fight more effectively, increasing the simulator's challenge and realism.

About Rise of Flight
Rise of Flight is a World War I PC flight-simulation title from Moscow-based developer neoqb. The flight simulator, set in the Western Front in 1917, was built on the newly developed Digital Nature engine. More than 125,000 square kilometers of the territory have been redrawn from 20th Century maps. Rise of Flight allows virtual pilots to fly the famous Spad XIII, Fokker D.VII, Albatros D.Va and Nieuport 28 biplanes in exciting dogfight battles. Featuring advanced physics, flight and damage models, Rise of Flight promises a realistic, challenging and fun experience for simulation fans of all stripes and skill levels. Flight1 release RealAir Beech Duke Boxed Edition

The Beechcraft Duke first rolled out in 1968 and production continued through to the early 1980s. The aircraft’s blend of elegance, pressurised cabin and performance made it a firm favourite with her owners, though her reputation for thirst and expensive repair bills were equally legendary!

Developed by the award-winning RealAir, thankfully you won’t have to worry about the bills. Instead this beautiful simulated aircraft makes the perfect platform for IFR flights, or just taking to the skies for the sheer pleasure of flying... this must be one of the most satisfying simulations of a piston twin yet available for FSX.

The RealAir Beech Duke boxed edition is available from all good retailers, from the local hobby shop to high street chain stores. The boxed version and the download version (using Flight1’s popular e-commerce system) are also both available direct from flight1 here: http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?search=true&filter=all&txtsearch=262a

Tongass Fjords X Alaska mapped for Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X to download

Tongass Fjords X Alaska mapped for Microsoft’s Flight Simulator XFrançois A. Dumas of FSAddon Publishing reports that Tongass Fjords X by Holger Sandmann and Bill Womack is now released after more than two years of development!

Tongass Fjords X returns Alaska back to the flightsimmers, after Microsoft missed a beat in that particular area of the world. Like in their FS2004 version, Sandman and Womack have managed to bring an unprecendented level of realism and immersion into the area. With Tongass Fjords X there are also quite a few new technologies introduced, like partial phototextures to render realistic glaciers (over 250 hand-made ones to be precise!), automatic freezing of water in the winter, and much more. Check out some comparison shots here.

http://www.flightsimplaza.com/tongass//TongassX/Tongass_Fjords_X_comp/TongassX_comp_home.html

But that’s not all. Three years ago FSAddon promised a discount for existing customers. Well, we’ve done even better. We’re giving a discount to ALL (future) customers and have lowered the price from a planned Euro 34 to a very ‘crisis-friendly’ price of only Euro 27,95!!

That means there is NO excuse anymore to not buy this Mother of all FSX Landscapes and indulge in many months of bush flying, discoveries and sheer awe…

This is also the perfect reason to swap from the good old FS9 to the ‘new’ Flight Simultor X!

Available on simMarket now and on FSAddon's own website.

http://secure.simmarket.com/fsaddon-tongass-fjords-x.phtml
http://fsaddon.eu/wpfsaddon/fsaddon-products/

So what is Tongass Fjords X ?

Tongass Fjords X is an addition to Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X that will turn a large part of southeast Alaska and northwestern British Columbia (some 80,000 square kilometers!) into the beautiful piece of nature that it really is!

You get a flying environment that puts you in the pilot seat flying around some of the most stunning landscapes you may find in the real world.

You not only get the ACTUAL coast lines, lakes, islands, roads, rivers and glaciers (!) installed on your FSX, but in addition some very talented people have added "things to see and things to find" for you in that rugged area of fjords, mountains, lakes and sea.

You will be able to visit many of the US Forestry Service cabins used by hunters, fishermen and hikers hidden near the many lakes and fjords. These cabins are meticulously recreated by Bill Womack.

What is Alaska without shipping!? We have added moving ships and boats, created by Mitsuya Hamaguchi and Larry Silsbee in many different locations, not just in harbors. Spot and then follow them with your Beaver!

And then there are the many scenery additions by Bill Womack who recreated Sitka and Petersburg airports as well as landmark objects of Sitka and along the Sitka and Petersburg harbor front.

Rise of Flight also implements full 6 DOF TrackIR support and is compatible with the TripleHead2Go multi-monitor system from Matrox.

Rise of Flight includes a Training Campaign and Single Player missions so players can hone their aerial combat skills. Once they are ready, flyers can embark on a Pilot Career that includes six stages from lieutenant to colonel, and begin one of several campaigns with squadrons for the French, British, German or American air forces. Throughout their careers, players can win awards, commendations and promotions for successfully completing their missions.

Mission types in Rise of Flight include fighter sweeps, bomber escort, bomber interception, balloon attack and ground attack. If they wish, players can use the powerful Mission Builder to create custom scenarios of their own and share them with their friends.

Flight-sim enthusiasts can also play with their friends over the Internet and wage their own virtual air wars against rival online squadrons. Even the greatest of Aces in World War I had a wingman, and Rise of Flight multiplayer action focuses on cooperative teamwork and completion of mission goals. Whichever way you choose to play Rise of Flight, it will surely thrill and excite any simulation fan.

Planned additions to the Rise of Flight experience in the coming months include more flyable aircraft, scenery, objects and features. Hurry! Grab your goggles, leather helmet and silk scarf. Enemy planes are approaching!
