The Pokémon 2017 World Championships coming this August 18 -20


The Pokémon Company International has announced that the most prestigious Pokémon event of the year, the Pokémon 2017 World Championships, will be taking place from 18 – 20 August in Anaheim, California.


This year’s World Championships will see Pokémon Trainers representing the best of the best descend upon the Anaheim Convention Center for the three-day event. Trainers will compete in the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Video Games, Pokkén Tournament and Pokémon Trading Card Game tournaments for a chance to win $500,000 worth of prizes and to be crowned the Pokémon 2017 World Champion.

Tips for the Generation 2 Pokémon Go latest update iOS Android 3DS features

The latest Gen 2 Pokémon Go update is finally here. It adds a load of new Pokémon but the game has also changed or added in a number of things.



New Berries
PokéStops are also now offering up new Berries, namely the Nanab and Pinap Berries.
The Pinap Berry will give you extra Candy if your next throw after the Berry is successful in catching the Pokémon.
The Nanab Berry on the other hand, will temporarily calm down the Pokémon and stop it from making erratic movements.

Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon new Trading Card Game - 3DS


Following on the success of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon video games selling 14.69m copies which became the biggest European launch titles ever for the Nintendo 3DS, today Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon is available to purchase in stores today and there is brand new tropical assets available.


GAME hosted midnight openings to celebrate the launch in Liverpool, Hinckley, Brentwood and Plymouth where the first 250 fans received a special Pokémon TCG card featuring Pikachu, in an exciting start to the latest TCG series.

Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon, the latest expansion to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) franchise, will be available in the UK from 3 February. Interested players will receive a warm welcome not only to the tropical Alola region - based on the incredibly popular Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon video games - but also at a number of GAME stores in the UK.



Participating outlets in Liverpool, Hinckley, Brentwood and Plymouth will host midnight openings, with the added bonus of a special Pokémon TCG card featuring Pikachu being available for the first 250 fans through the door.

Pokémon Bank update new feature and compatible with Pokemon Sun & Moon - 3DS

Pokémon Bank players can now receive a Mewnium Z and transfer their Pokémon from Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow to their copy of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.


Pokémon Bank, the online service which enables players to withdraw and deposit to and from various Pokémon titles, has received a new update today making it compatible with the latest games Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon*. This means that it is now possible to bring Pokémon that do not natively appear in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon into the games so they can join you in battles and adventures.

Pokemon GO: Bronze, Silver and Gold boxes released in 2nd Christmas update

Up until January 3rd Pokemon GO Bronze, Silver and Gold boxes containing things like incense, lure modules, lucky eggs, Poke Balls, and Great Balls are out in the wild.

Plus until January 8, Pokemon GO's partner Pokemon and their evolutions will show up more frequently in the game. These Pokemon include Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise. Further, the game's lure modules will run for 60 minutes instead of the normal 30 for the duration of the event.

Pokémon Go now on Apple Watch but you need a phone to catch them...


Pokémon Go on Apple Watch allows trainers to receive notifications right on their wrists about nearby Pokémon PokéStops, eggs and medals.



You can also collect goodies from PokéStops, log each gameplay session as workout this counts toward your Apple Watch Activity rings. It displays the distance traveled toward hatching an egg and receiving Candy for Buddy Pokémon.

Pokémon GO Christmas announcement

Beginning today at 6:00 p.m. GMT, Trainers around the world will have the opportunity to add Togepi, Pichu and select Pokémon originally discovered in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games to their Pokémon GO Pokédex.


Trainers have the chance to find these Pokémon by visiting and spinning PokéStops to acquire Eggs. These Eggs might hatch a Togepi, Pichu or select other Pokémon. Additionally, from December 12, 2016, 6:00 p.m. GMT to December 29, 2016, 7:00 p.m. GMT, Trainers can encounter special-edition Pikachu all over the world. These Pikachu will be wearing a festive hat to celebrate the holiday season, and they will appear in large quantities during this period.

Pokemon Go Christmas event details have been leaked ahead of the Gen 2 release date.

Pokemon Go fans discovered new features by searching through the game files following the recent Pokemon Go transfer update.


In addition to sound files for 100 Gen 2 Pokemon, the update appeared to point towards a big Christmas event.

The long rumoured Christmas event will seemingly coincide with the launch of new festive items and costumes.

Pokémon Go version 1.19 update what the changes mean to players - transfer more than one Pokémon to Professor Willow

This update to Pokémon Go is version 1.19 on Android and 0.49 on iOS


  • Trainers will be able to transfer multiple Pokémon at a time to Professor Willow. To use this function, press and hold on a Pokémon.
  • Pokémon type icons have been added to the Gym battle approach and Gym battle screen.
  • The total Candy count for your Buddy Pokémon has been added to the buddy information screen.
  • The total kilometers a buddy has walked has been added to the information screen of each Pokémon that has ever been your buddy.
  • Minor text fixes.

Pokémon Magearna Arrives in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon

Players who have completed the main story in Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon can now get the Mythical Pokémon Magearna via the in-game QR Scanner feature.


The QR Code will be displayed at the end of Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, airing now on Pokémon TV. Magearna, a Steel- and Fairy-type Pokémon, is the first Mythical Pokémon you can obtain in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. L
