Runespell: Overture first patch available on Steam

Runespell: Overture was launched at July 20, 2011 on the Steam platform for PC and Mac. The game has received positive feedback from both the players and the press. The free demo and the complete game has been played by thousands of players so far.

“Next to the positive reviews, the improvements mentioned by both press and players point to a similar direction and help us to understand the future needs of the player community”, Mystic Box founder Barry Hoffman mentions.

Based on the feedback during the beta and post release the first update of Runespell Overture is a fact:
•Fixed: "Steal stack" AI issue: sometimes the AI would give an attack hand to the player. No more gifts from the AI!
•Fixed: Achievements unlocked in the demo are carried over to full version on Steam. One battle and a save in the full version is needed to activate the sync
•Fixed: Gathering the magic achievement now shows progress in Steam client
•Fixed: Runespell XL now with progress bar to show the number of unique battles needed to unlock achievement
•Fixed: Resolutions should not reset to a low resolution when going from window mode to full screen anymore. Part of this bug is still undergoing investigation.
•Fixed: Corrected some texts in the game tutorial
•Known issue: Disable Raptr ingame support for Runespell: Overture as it affects game performance.

“Some of the fixes took longer than expected, as we could not reproduce them at first. The great feedback, issue descriptions, files and of course patience we received from the player community helped us finding the real issues.” “The next step for us will be to view the complete game and plan our next moves. Once the plan is ready we will communicate this to the players and the press”, Barry mentions.

In future Runespell: Overture will be released on new platforms next to Steam. Mystic Box is considering updates and working on two new concepts.
