42 percent should be set if you don’t want to suffer performance issues.

50 percent is 1.3x your resolution
100 percent is a full 2x upgrade

A lot of PC gamers didn't think the value set to 42 by default was right, they set it to 50 percent. Some set it at 100 percent understand there would be no downsampling. Both encountered big performance issues.
