Prepare for a new era of Tropico, as Kalypso Media is thrilled to announce that Tropico 5 will be released on PlayStation 4 on the 24th of April across Europe and on the 28th in North America.

David Braben wins a gaming BAFTA

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has today announced that pioneering game developer and computing advocate David Braben OBE will be presented with the Fellowship at the British Academy Games Awards ceremony at the Tobacco Dock, London, on Thursday 12 March.

Awarded annually, the Fellowship is the highest accolade bestowed by BAFTA in recognition of an outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, television or games.

Fellowships previously bestowed for groundbreaking work in games include Rockstar Games, Gabe Newell, Peter Molyneux, Shigeru Miyamoto and Will Wright.

As founder of Frontier Developments, David Braben's work in games began in 1982 when he co-authored the seminal Elite and since rose to become one of the most prominent British programmers in the world, whose portfolio of titles includes games based on the Wallace & Gromit franchise, Thrillville and Rollercoaster Tycoon. Braben is a trustee of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, a charity that promotes the study of basic computer science in schools and is responsible for developing the Raspberry Pi.

David Braben said: “I am absolutely delighted to be receiving a BAFTA Fellowship; it is an incredible honour. I have a truly great team behind me at Frontier, and without them I would not be receiving this, so the honour is effectively for all of us.”

New mobile games from Warner Bros - Batman DC Comics Mortal Kombat LEGO Game of Thrones

The following are five new games under development with Warner Bros.’ wholly-owned development studios:

· Mortal Kombat X NetherRealm Studios

The game blends fighting and card collection for a whole new way to experience Mortal Kombat on mobile platforms. Featuring cinematic gameplay and visceral Fatalities, play as legendary and all-new fighters created for Mortal Kombat X. Players who also own a forthcoming console or PC version of the game will have the ability to unlock content in the mobile game and vice versa.

· Batman: Arkham Underworld Turbine

Mad Max – Pre-order Bonus and release date - PC PS4 XOne

New pre-order bonus details for Mad Max. All those who pre-order Mad Max will receive an additional Magnum Opus car body called “The Ripper,” which packs a powerful V8 engine, upgraded exhaust with custom off-road tires, a ramming grill and a tuned suspension so it can take on a variety of Wasteland surfaces. Also revealed today was box art for the game.

Mad Max is set to launch 4th September in the UK for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and SteamOS.

LAND AIR SEA WARFARE New Release Announced for Android plus iOS PC Mac

Bombshell - isometric action role-playing game - PC Console
