Call of Duty Publisher Activision Moves to Dismiss Former Military Dictator Manuel Noriega’s Lawsuit

Activision the creators of the popular Call of Duty franchise, will file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit by former dictator and convicted murderer Manuel Noriega. Former New York City Mayor and U.S. Attorney Rudy Giuliani who is now a named partner of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, will serve as co-counsel and defend the company on the grounds that Noriega's depiction in Call of Duty is a protected right to free speech.

Ubisoft detailed the contents of the Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Unity, the highly-anticipated title for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. From the busy streets of Paris to the dark and rural city of Saint Denis, the season pass allows players to further explore Arno’s story. Players will also be introduced to Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, a new Assassin’s Creed saga that takes players on adventures to lands and time periods previously unexplored by the franchise.

The European boxed release for Endless Legend will hit retail stores in Germany, France, and the UK one day later, and will include a full color manual and a beautifully crafted art book, showing the eight dynamic factions and dozens of examples of the French developer’s rich and distinct art style.

To celebrate the release, Amplitude Studios reveals the 8th and final faction for Endless Legend, ‘The Cultists of the Eternal End’ which was designed by the Games2Gether community. Hellraid: The Escape is set in the dark fantasy universe of Techland’s action title Hellraid for PC and consoles, which will be released in 2015. With no memory of their previous life, players wake up in a magic prison. The only weapon they can use to break out is their wits. Notes from a mysterious inmate provide valuable hints how to escape the gloomy dungeon and its murderous guards. As every riddle in the game is unique, players will not only require solid puzzle-solving skills, but also challenge their reflexes and quick thinking. At the time of the launch, eight thrilling prison chambers will be available, with more levels to come in the next weeks.
