Toki Tori video game comes to Apple i Phone App Store

iPhone publisher, Chillingo and Dutch console game development studio Two Tribes today announced the availability of the Toki Tori puzzle game on the Apple App Store.

The Toki Tori app follows a young chick, Toki Tori, and his quest to rescue his younger siblings who are still in their eggs.

To progress through the game, a player must pick up each egg on a level using a set number of tools, with new tools being introduced as the player progresses through four unique worlds. The in-game controls for Toki Tori have been developed from the ground up to take specific advantage of the innovative Multi-Touch user interface of iPhone and iPod touch.

"Toki Tori showcases the iPhone and iPod touch as a compelling alternative to console gaming the polish of this title is amazing on these revolutionary devices." says Chris Byatte, co-Founder and director of Chillingo.

Tomb Raider - Underworld joins Xbox 360 classics and PlayStation 3 Platinum range of video games

Watchmen: The End is Nigh videogame, based on the Watchmen film, will be offered in a retail Blu-Ray Hi-Def game and film hybrid, as well as additional retail and downloadable formats in North America. Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part 2, the second of two long-form, episodic action games will be released in conjunction with the Blu-ray Hi-Def and DVD of the Watchmen: Director’s Cut in July 2009.

Freaky creatures adding player versus environment

Abandon Interactive Entertainment today introduced Freaky Adventures, adding player versus environment (PvE) gameplay to its new cross-platform massively multiplayer online (MMO) game, Freaky Creatures. Players can now delve even further into the Freaky Creatures universe by partaking in exciting missions and battles, meeting new characters, and exploring never-before seen environments.

The new content in Freaky Adventures allows players to venture into new territory beyond creature lairs and battle arenas. Players will participate in missions that take them to new destinations throughout the Freaky Creatures universe, including the deep jungles of Verdura. The previously unexplored domains include a wealth of new life forms, items and enemies, each with their own specific abilities and powers.

Upon the successful completion of missions, players will gain specific parts, powers and lair objects.
