EA force gamers to stay online while playing video games

Command and Conquer 4 will force players to stay online while playing the game, even in single-player mode. A move that may be adopted by other gaming developers. Interruption in your connection will result in your game being suspended.

This DRM move was tried in Assassin's Creed II and Silent Hunter 5, where it was cracked within hours. It's understandable why the developers have to protect games from pirates but this can backfire.
