Nintendo Wii owners will determine the outcome of evolution starting today with the launch of Hudson Entertainment’s Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem. Exclusively down loadable on WiiWare for 500 Wii points, the interspecies shooter is published by Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American publishing arm of HUDSON SOFT. Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem is rated E10+ by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
“Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem offers a unique take on the shooter videogame genre,” says Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Digital Download at Hudson Entertainment. “Gamers haven’t seen anything quite like this, with its bizarre enemies, unusual playable characters, and frenzied gameplay.”
In Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem, players start as primates and battle lizardmen across the epochs, from primeval to medieval times and beyond. Players who survive each battle will evolve from a lowly monkey to an apeman, then caveman, a human knight, and finally a soldier. The combat continues to change as the lizardmen also evolve throughout the game. Co-op mode allows players to survive the onslaught together.
