Next generation logic game moves beyond traditional numeric puzzles, introduces new challenges
TrueThought, a Plano-based game developer, has paired with MumboJumbo, a leading publisher and developer of casual games, to launch Everyday Genius: SquareLogic™. The numeric problem-solving game is the next generation of puzzle games born from the popular Sudoku genre, offering up 20,000 puzzle boards that showcase new types of puzzle play, a variety of boards and a new challenge for PC puzzlers.
“We’re excited to be a part of the Everyday Genius: SquareLogic project,” said Mark Cottam, CEO of MumboJumbo. “TrueThought has developed an innovative new puzzle type that we believe will satisfy a wide array of players. There’s something for everyone—from those who are casual Sudoku players to those players who are KenKen fanatics—SquareLogic takes these ideas and moves them beyond anything that’s currently available to create an addictive, fun puzzle game.”
Everyday Genius: SquareLogic combines simple arithmetic with colorful cages and logical problem solving. New puzzle mechanics enhance the genre to create a richer set of puzzles than has been available previously. By providing the player with each square’s available answers, the player can spend more time working through the puzzle board and less time jotting down possibilities. The $19.99 game supplies players with more than 20,000 puzzles in 18 varieties and six different sizes.
“By introducing hidden cages, double boards, comparisons, sequences and a host of other advancements, we’ve taken the numeric puzzle to a place beyond anywhere it’s been before,” said Ken Harward, Founder and Director of TrueThought. “We’re supplying players with thousands of puzzles, and in a wide range of difficulty, so that they can really customize their experience and play the types of SquareLogic puzzles they find they enjoy most.”
Everyday Genius: SquareLogic is the brain child of TrueThought, and is the company’s debut title.
SquareLogic is available for digital download through Steam Powered, and it will make its retail debut in February.
