Pass the Pigs - game now available on iPhone and iPod touch

THQ Wireless Inc., a subsidiary of THQ Inc., today announced Pass The Pigs, the mobile game inspired by the popular dice game has launched on iPhone™ and iPod® touch worldwide. Developed by THQ Wireless' internal studio Universomo, the mobile game is also available worldwide in more than 70 countries including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Australia.

"The launch of Pass The Pigs marks a new commitment by THQ Wireless to bring casual, mass-market games to the mobile arena," said Adam Comiskey, vice president of THQ Wireless. "It's a hugely fun and entertaining game with one-button controls and we think fans of casual games will enjoy this quick-play format."

Pass The Pigs players win points by throwing two model pigs across a casino-style table. The player will have points either given or taken away, based on the way the pigs land until 'Pig Out'. This classic mode supports up to four players and includes three alternative scoring methods.

Pass The Pigs for iPhone uses accelerometer technology to give Shake´N´Roll controls to roll the pigs, with varying power, exactly as one would intuitively roll a pair of dice. Alternatively, pigs can be rolled using touch-screen controls, with simple slide or flick motions.

THQ Wireless also brings a new mode 'Pig´s Life' to the brand, which is full of piglet-related fun. Players encounter a unique lifepath game mechanic, through four phases of a pig's life. Choices based on love, wisdom or money combine to unravel thousands of possible story combinations. As the players progress through the game, they can also unlock vibrant hats and disguises for their pig to wear, from Disco-Pig to Robo-Pig.

Pass The Pigs is available now for the suggested retail price of $4.99.
