Like all the past pokemon games, each RPG has followed the same pattern: 2 games launching simultaneously with a third releasing later on with a slightly different take on the main game. The DS versions are no different as Nintendo will be releasing Pokemon Platinum in Japan later this year.
No significant changes are being made to the core game apart from the fact that the game will focus on the "Origin Form" of Giratina. Other previously known Pokemon, including Regigigas and Shaymin, will also gain new forms in this game.
