award winning, BAFTA nominated, indie hit The Banner Saga role-playing strategy game is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 17th.

The Banner Saga is an epic single player driven Viking saga, where a player’s choice in travel, conversation and combat determines the outcome of their own personal story as well as the survival of an entire civilisation. The game also features stunning 2D animation and art, a unique tactical combat system and a cast of unforgettable characters, all of which drive this epic journey forward.

ARK Park for PSVR updated with free locomotion and improved graphics

In addition to free locomotion (already available on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive), ARK Park PSVR’s graphics have been improved by 16% in the visual fidelity department – resulting in a more vivid (and realistic!) dinosaur world without compromising the frame rate.

How was ARK Park upgraded? To give PSVR users a measurable improvement in fidelity, the developers experimented with an alternate rendering mode. The result was a small gain in resolution, more effective anti-aliasing, and a boost to bloom lighting as well. Snail Games also spent some extra time on particular maps to bring out the fine detail in each model and texture.

The Council Episode 2 - Hide and Seek released on May 15

BAFTA honour Nolan North with special award on June 11th in Los Angeles

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is to honour Nolan North with a Special Award at an event at The London West Hollywood on Monday 11 June. The event, which takes place on the eve of the E3 games conference in Los Angeles (12-14 June), is part of BAFTA’s ever-increasing global games activity.

The award will be presented to Nolan North, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to performance in games. Previous games professionals to receive a BAFTA Special Award include Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill (on behalf of Riot Games), Brenda Romero, Amy Hennig and Markus Persson.

The next upcoming character to join the Wolf Dogs playable roster in Closers, the anime-styled online RPG beat ‘em up. Coming May 22, the sultry and sneaky Harpy will showcase her prowess of powerful kicks and energy-laden card attacks. The former 'Phantom Thief' used her newfound powers to enhance her skills as a professional thief, but was caught stealing from the Vulture Corp and coerced to be the new “shadow” of the Wolf Dogs.

Closers is a multiplayer online action RPG (MOARPG) beat-em-up in which players take the role of one of the “Closers,” a group of psychic teenagers chosen by the world government to stop an alien invasion by defeating hordes of lethal monsters and closing inter dimensional gates to thwart the invaders and their evil incursion.

Battlerite Royale first screenshots and update - PC

Battle Royale game mode, Battlerite Royale, set to launch on Steam in July 2018. Combining an Action MOBA/Arena Brawler and Battle Royale survival gameplay, the new mode throws 20 players into a cutthroat island deathmatch, played “Free For All” or as a duo from a top-down perspective.

Players begin the match with their Champions stripped off of their abilities so they must explore the map in order to find abilities, equipment, and a variety of exciting consumables. The goal is to fight other players, steal their loot, power up and, ultimately, be the last one standing.
