New Action Role-Playing Video Game Featuring Open World Exploration and an Original Story in Development at Propaganda Games
Live to tell the tale of becoming a notorious pirate captain or suffer a fate of eternal damnation. Disney Interactive Studios today announced the development of Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, an epic, action role-playing game (RPG) from Propaganda Games, Disney’s video game development studio in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Armada of the Damned is an entirely new experience within the Pirates of the Caribbean universe. The game takes place before the events of the blockbuster films. Players will take on the role of a pirate and embark on epic land and sea adventures. Numerous moral and character choices will need to be made that affect their character and the original story within the world. Players will explore a massive open world while fighting enemies, mystical creatures and Mother Nature, both to gain experience and stay alive. Supernatural elements familiar to the Pirates of the Caribbean world will also affect their character’s story and influence their choices.
“Armada of the Damned is a dynamic action role-playing game that captures all of the franchise’s excitement, unpredictability and action while delving into narrative elements never before explored within this unique universe,” said Dan Tudge, vice president and general manager, Propaganda Games. “Our team’s collective experience with industry-leading RPGs and action titles provides a strong foundation for us to create and build a compelling action role-playing title.”
Armada of the Damned is scheduled to be released in autumn 2010 for next-generation consoles and Windows PC.
Armada of the Damned is an extension of the globally successful Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which began more than 40 years ago as a theme park attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. The franchise continues to excite park goers with millions of visitors experiencing the four current theme park attractions at Disney parks around the world. The three blockbuster films grossed more than $2.6 billion worldwide in theaters and have continued to be successful on home video. Disney Interactive Studios has shipped more than 6 million units worldwide of self-published multiplatform Pirates of the Caribbean video games, which were inspired by the “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” films.

Fish'em All! video game for WiiWare out 29th May
Fish'em All!, an arcade game with real coin-op flavour!
Alone or with your friends, you will have a great time catching these little fish... they're crazy! Beat your own high scores, take on challenges and solve fun puzzles in a range of amazing stages full of colour and fantasy. Watch out for the dragon, the ninja rat and the sumo toad!
Do you think it looks easy?
This arcade game will bring all the excitement of the great classics to your Nintendo Wii console.
Features:
Nine colourful scenarios.
Three game modes: Arcade, Challenge, Fishtris.
One or two players.
Arcade
Can you beat the high score? Play a game in Arcade mode to see how long you can last. Catch as many fish as you can within a time limit. Watch the fish meter. The more points you score catching fish, the faster it will fill up. Each time you manage to fill a whole fish on the meter, you will receive extra time. If you manage to fill them all, you will move on to the next stage.
Challenge
Complete the challenges to unlock stages. You can then select any unlocked stage to play in two player mode.
Each challenge sets you a target. Note how many fish of each colour you need to catch. Sometimes, it will tell you which items you need to avoid or set a time limit.
Fishtris
Even more difficult!
Every time you catch a fish, it will fall into the tube. If the tube fills up, the game will end. To keep on playing, match three or more fish of the same colour to make them disappear.
When you match three or more fish of the same colour, the fish meter will be slightly filled. When you manage to fill a whole fish on the meter, you will receive extra time. If you manage to fill them all, you will move on to the next stage. If things get tough, try and catch the Anglerfish.
It will eat all the fish in the tube.

Mind-bending iPhone puzzler Modulo receives expansive free update 60 new stages added
Electric TopHat adds 60 new stages, aesthetic makeover and more via App Store.
Just when gamers thought they had escaped the addictive allure of Electric TopHat’s rotation-based puzzler Modulo, the Gentleman Coders at Dundee’s newest independent developer launch the first in a series of update packs on the Apple App Store today. Prepare to get hooked all over again.
For a month now Modulo has been bending the minds of iPhone gamers the world over with its intricate, and devious, blend of rotation and colour matching puzzles. The game has received widespread critical acclaim across the mobile and general gaming press and to celebrate, Electric TopHat has launched update 1.1 free of charge as a way of saying thanks to everyone who bought the game first time round.
Modulo Update 1.1 includes:
• Updated Graphics
• Improved Gameplay (we made the cogs go a little faster for you)
• 60 Additional Puzzles
• New Attack Mode
• Puzzle Ranking and Overall Difficulty Level Ranking
• User Audio Playback Support
Modulo is exclusively designed and developed for Apple hardware. The game moves away from traditional puzzle titles and asks you to think outside the box. Players must rotate a set of coloured cogs until they are all facing in the same direction. The aim is simple, but the game is incredibly devious and requires a great deal of lateral thinking, as tethered cogs make life difficult for you. This really is Sudoku for the iPhone generation.
Bert McDowell of Electric TopHat, said: “We are very happy with the positive reaction Modulo has received from gamers and critics alike. We’ve found that once people start playing the game, they find it very hard to put it down and that is extremely gratifying to see. Update 1.1 expands on the core game and in some ways it’s our big thank you to everyone who picked up Modulo at the initial launch.”
Modulo is available to buy via App store now for £0.59 / $0.95 / €0.67. Update 1.1 is free to existing owners and will be available to download via App Store from May 27th.

Allods Online, the Massively Multiplayer Iteration of the Popular Russian Series
Fantasy meets Space Opera in the first AAA free-to-play MMORPG boasting the largest games development budget in the Russian history, by the makers of Heroes of Might and Magic V.
Nival Online, the Russian game developer behind the Allods series of role-playing strategy games (known as Rage of Mages in Europe and America), and Gala Networks Europe, the free-to-play MMORPG publisher that operates the gPotato.eu gaming portal are proud to announce Allods Online, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on Russia’s most successful gaming series.
The free-to-play title brings MMO fans across Europe into a universe of epic fantasy and fierce conflict with a deep and captivating storyline. Allods Online takes place after the destruction of the planet of Sarnout and the subsequent formation of the namesake Allods. These mystical islands float in the Astral, an expansive living substance that makes up the compelling game world. Adventurers will explore the numerous Allods as they battle against a wide range of enemies – and each other.
Allods Online will feature classic fantasy MMORPG gameplay that fans of the genre’s most successful titles can enjoy. It features extensive questing, intense player-versus-player combat, grand exploration, in-depth character development and plenty of social interaction. In the Astral, players will have the chance to put their wits and brawn to the test in larger-than-life Astral battles, the game’s giant fights between competing ‘Astral ships’ manned by multiple players. Adventurers from all over the world will have to choose between six races and eight character classes before choosing their allegiance between the two warring factions: the League and the Empire.
With over 12 million USD in funding, Allods Online is the best-funded Russian game development project in history. In addition, the team behind the title at Nival Online recently received the Best Online Game & Best Game Developer award at the 2008 Russian Game Development Conference.
“We have spiced up a full-blown fantasy MMORPG with the most compelling elements of space opera and science fiction, with epic battles between huge Astral ships,” said Sergey Orlovskiy, founder of Nival Online. “At the same time, we are keeping a deep focus on characters. Allods Online is not about Astral ships, but about the people on them.”
“We are excited to work with Nival Online who has proved their mastery of PC and online games for over a decade” said Hyun Hur, CEO of Gala Networks Europe. “We are confident that Allods Online will have a major impact on the overall online games industry and demonstrates that top quality games can be free, giving players a strong alternative to subscription-based MMORPGs.”
