The undefeated former world boxing champion Joe Calzaghe visit’s HMV’s flagship Oxford Street store in London’s West End, on Sunday 24th May 2009 to help launch Nintendo’s new release, ‘Punch-Out!!’ on the Wii by competing against members of the public on the store’s main stage.
Joe will be at the store from 11.30 am to play the new game against any challengers on the stage and in front of the big screen. Joe will then remain in the store to meet fans and sign copies of the new game, which is officially released on the 22nd May 2009.
‘Punch-Out!!’ was one of the biggest names in boxing and the release on the Nintendo Wii follows a 15-year hiatus. In ‘Punch-Out!!’ you play as young up-and-coming fighter Little Mac who, with the help of his ringside trainer Doc Lewis, is working his way through the ranks of a wide variety of boxing caricatures, each with their own patterns of attacks.
Due to anticipated demand to meet Joe Calzaghe the event will be wristbanded. Fans can pick free wristbands at HMV’s 150 Oxford Street store only, from 10.30 am on the day of the event. One wristband per customer, in person only, on a first come first serve basis. No reservations.

One year after the mighty barbarian burst onto the online gaming market, shipping over 1.2 million copies around the world, Funcom is seeing a significant increase in players and new customers per month. Activity levels have risen significantly, and the communities are thriving with more and more players finding their way into the game.

Unknown - Frictional Games, status update
After over a year of technology development and prototyping we are finally at the tipping point as ideas comes to life on the screen in front of us. With our very first early version of "Unknown" ready, we are more confident than ever that we are on the right track as to what will become a great horror game.
With the previous award winning Penumbra series to live up to we have been working hard on coming up with a concept that improves the already winning formula - horror without violence. With "Unknown" we have started from the very beginning - creating a new game engine, development tools, re-thinking and improving the physics interaction, evaluated every little part of Penumbra as to figure out the best way to create the experience.
"Unknown" is a first person survival horror game set in the 18th century. The player is caught in the middle of the unknown as he explores an old castle, dating back as far as the 14th century. With a "hands-on" physics interaction system the player can examine objects and control his surroundings in a way that is unique to the games developed by Frictional Games, for example it's possible to slowly drag drawers open to examine the inside in search for clues. To be careful is a must as the sanity of the player could quickly falter if inhabitants of the castle were to take notice of him. Different parts of the castle has widely different architecture, reflecting the centuries that has passed since the castle was initially built. Today's two screens, gives a peak of a more modern part of the castle as well as the older and decaying part of it.
Harmonix and MTV Games Unveil Full Setlist for Rock Band Unplugged; Plus First DLC Tracks Announced

Rock Band Unplugged helps players keep on rocking by delivering the first PSP game to feature an in-game store for downloadable content. Harmonix will stock the music store with 10 tracks at launch, and additional music will be released on a regular basis. PlayStation Network will power the in-game store, and players can use their existing PlayStation Network accounts to purchase tracks, similar to the Rock Band console experience. PSP system owners will also have the option of purchasing tracks via PlayStation Store on the PC.
