The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild E3 2016 announcement - Wii U


The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild represents the next great boundary-breaking adventure from Nintendo. The game marks a new pinnacle for the franchise, and today Nintendo gave the world its first look at the immense, living and breathing world of the Wii U version of the game at the E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles. The game challenges and surprises players at every turn, while giving them incredible freedom to explore the massive world found in this open-air adventure.


“The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild breaks boundaries for the franchise and for games as a whole,” said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. “Where you go, how you get there, the order in which you do it, and the items, weapons and approaches used to solve puzzles and defeat enemies are all up to you.”

Oddworld returns in Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New 'N' Tasty on Wii U

Marking the first outing for everyone's favourite Mudokon on a Nintendo platform since the Game Boy Advance, Oddworld Inhabitants is delighted to have Abe's latest adventure on Wii U.


Starting development back in 2012, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is a comprehensive complete ground-up remake of the original 1997 PlayStation classic "Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee", with all new gameplay, graphics, movies and audio, along with a whole host of secrets, new areas, tweaks and improvements.

Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series' Arriving on Nintendo's Wii U


Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series will be coming to Nintendo Wii U console on January 21st with the first episode, 'The Order of the Stone,' available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U in North America and Europe for $4.99 or equivalent.


Telltale will also be bringing additional episodes to the console in the coming weeks, with a Season Pass option for $19.99 that will allow access to episodes 2 through 5 as they become available for download.

Shovel Knight Amiibo - register without opening instructions - Wii U 3DS


The new Shovel Knights Amiibo can be registered without opening the packaging due to a production error.


The Shovel Knight Amiibo was manufactured by a third party who failed to include the metal shield on the base of the box. NFC registration is possible even in store (not recommended).

New Pokémon fighter in Pokken Tournament next week - Wii U


A new fighter will be added to the playable characters in Pokken Tournament on January 15th.


This will be the 13th playable character in the game (as yet unnamed) and will join Lucario, Pikachu, Blaziken, Gengar and Suicune.

The game will feature an open world in which players can find different ways to approach areas.

Splatoon’s Version 2.4.0 Update Splatters In With New Maps - Wii U


Splatoon has been updated to Version 2.4.0 with the arrival of new Piranha Pit and Ancho-V Games maps.


Their tweaks will improve matchmaking, introduce new prohibited areas on maps in Rainmaker mode, and address shortcuts that players have discovered on certain maps.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition on December 17th - complete with multiple add-on packs


Minecraft launches worldwide on Nintendo’s Wii U home console on Dec. 17th.


Minecraft: Wii U Edition comes with multiple add-on content packs, and will be available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U in North America for $29.99. Nintendo and Mojang are also collaborating on new content for Nintendo fans to be released at a future date. More details about this content will be released at a later time.
