The first 100 X360 backward compatible games list from Microsoft on November 9th


Microsoft (Phil Spencer) tweeted they he will release a list of the first 100 games that are backward compatible with the Xbox One as soon as November 9th.


Unfortunately original 360 disks won't work with the Xbox One system. However for a number of selection of games inserting the game disk into your Xbox One will start a download of an Xbox One-friendly version (You're going to need a bigger hard drive!). Plus any games you've digitally purchased will start showing up in your game library automatically.

Microsoft tweet Xbox One backward compatibility update due on November 12


Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb Xbox community manager tweet...
"Xbox fans mark your calendars: @XboxP3 just revealed new Xbox One experience & back compat start launching Nov. 12 for all Xbox One owners," (@majornelson).

Only a handful of Xbox 360 games will be playable with users voting for what games they want added.

Angry Birds and Angry Staff as 213 are laid off by Rovio

Rovio have trimmed their staff by 213 from 700 as tough times hit the games download sector.


What became a must have game 'Angry Birds' was/is played by millions. However despite new levels and modes a couple of movies and a cartoon series it has been difficult to keep players playing and more importantly paying.

Electronic Sports League (ESL) videogame tournament to introduce drug testing


Its first event where these tests will take place will be ESL One Cologne in August (22-23 August). The organisation said that testing will become a regular feature across ESL's event calendar, which includes events such as Intel Extreme Masters, ESL One and ESL ESEA Pro League.
