Igor Fraga [PSN: IOF_RACING17], from Brazil drove himself into pole position, taking home the victory at the second Nations Cup tournament of the FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships 2019 Series, and guaranteeing himself a space at World Final later this year.
Cody Nikola Latkovski [PSN Nik_Makozi] from Australia took second place, followed by Rayan Derrouiche [PSN RC_Miura] from France in third.
A total of 24 contestants from 16 countries took part in the Nürburgring World Tour, the second of six 2019 Series Nations Cup events taking place across the globe.
Fraga was crowned the inaugural FIA Gran Turismo Nations Cup Champion at the World Finals in Monaco 2018, and audiences today enjoyed a thrilling race of precision driving to witness him become the Nürburgring Nations Cup winner and secure his place in the 2019 World Finals alongside Nicolas Rubilar, the Paris Nations Cup victor.
The second World Tour event of 2019 took place at one of the biggest events on the German motor sport calendar; the ADAC Total 24-hour race which got underway at 3:30pm today. A spectacle which sees over 200 spectacular cars racing around the legendary, 25-km-long ‘Green Hell’ Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit.
Over two hundred thousand fans make the annual pilgrimage to the Eifel mountains creating a unique 24-hour party atmosphere.
