GameOn is the trailblazing gaming event in the Baltic region. The team of avid gamers, game developers, journalists and esports enthusiasts was formed around 2015 to establish a high-quality expo in Lithuania. Since then GameOn has grown into the epic yearly convention dedicated to gaming and technology enthusiasts and will return to Vilnius on November 2-3rd.
As GameOn is growing, so are the tasks and expectations organisers set for themselves. Event growth in attendance over the last years has been impressive thanks to new and exciting things introduced on a yearly basis - ever new esports tournaments, cosplay competitions, growing exposition space or video games music concert organised for the first-time last year. “GameOn” will continue in this tradition also adding more value for business visitors. Moving towards these goals, the 2018 event will introduce two novelties that will raise GameOn quality manifold.
Indie Town
Indie games have always been part of the event, but this year GameOn has special plans for the most innovative games in the industry. On the show floor organisers are planning to build an Indie Town with the latest and most innovative games out there where meeting the developers is the key experience.
A mantra of the indie culture is being part of a community. With the focus on the indie sector, event organisers hope to propel Lithuania and its indie developers forward to a new level of connecting with this global community. And what better way to do this than inviting international teams to join Lithuanian teams and friends from the neighbouring Baltic region. Delegations from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine and Poland have already confirmed their attendance. They will be accompanied by German, Swiss, Dutch, Israeli and Iranian representatives. And the list is growing everyday!
Business area
Second big event focus this year will be creating a more fruitful environment for B2B visitors, introducing new business tickets. With these tickets, visitors will have access to an access-only business area and a networking party. Numerous local brands and long-time partners are waiting to be introduced to the international games businesses with an interest in expanding their network towards the Baltic region.
As a final puzzle piece, GameOn will partner up with the leading brand of matchmaking systems for the games industry. “MeetToMatch” will be an exclusive business meeting partner, providing their full-service platform to bring visitors one step closer to new business opportunities. Two days of exciting opportunities and interesting partners from development, publishing retail, marketing, services and many more fields will be waiting for your meeting request.
There are plenty of reasons to visit Vilnius this November.
