About Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is a new open-world military shooter set in a not-too-distant future. Players will find themselves in the titular wildlands in Bolivia, deep in the enemy territory. The objective is to take down a drug cartel entrenched in a jungle.
Based on the released promotional teaser showing the gameplay, the narrative seems to revolve around the mission called "Operation: Kingslayer," which seeks to take down the so-called Santa Barbara Cartel. After a mission briefing, players must navigate the map on their own through an open-world concept, which allowed them complete autonomy.
Battle Modes
The game offers both solo and co-op modes. However, there is still no word if the multiplayer option will be available during the beta testing. Some sources, however, reported that it is quite likely given Ubisoft's insistence that the game should have a co-op feature.
If the beta build will indeed feature the multi-player mode, players can then provide insights as to how the developer can refine team play.
Should the Wildlands beta only offer the single-player feature, players will still be able to access the wide array of resources available to survive without the help of a team. This was demonstrated in a gameplay demo conducted by Dominic Butler, the game's lead designer. The 12-minute play focused on stealth tactics and those who were able to witness the play were duly impressed.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is now available for preorder the game is expected on March 7, 2017 release schedule.
