With proprietary tri-capsule technology to produce pristine, studio-quality recordings you can create unparalleled recordings directly in your computer, PC or Mac.
The Yeti features four different pattern settings to record vocals, instrumental music, podcasts, interviews or video game narration. Featuring simple controls for headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute, and microphone gain. Right out of the box you'll be creating exceptional recordings.
It's design is inspired by classic recording equipment. With retro aesthetic that complements any system. Its metal grille and shiny frame remind you off those old-time microphones. Unlike other microphones it's hinge lets you adjust and pivot in relation to the sound source and improves sound quality. The design also allows it to fold down for easy portability, or you can remove it completely from its base for field recordings.
Yeti doesn’t mind getting pushed around—it lets you adjust and pivot the microphone in relation to the sound source, which optimises your sound quality. Once you’ve achieved the desired angle, simply hand-tighten the set knobs to secure it in place. Yeti is a side-address microphone, so you can capture the best sound by going face-to-face with it. The microphone can also be folded down for easy portability, or removed completely from its base for mounting directly on a mic stand, or on the Radius shock mount.
Hassle-Free Setup
Blue Microphone's Yeti requires no complicated drivers to operate—simply plug it into your computer's USB port with the included USB cable (10ft), calibrate it with your operating system, and you're ready to record.
The Yeti is now capable of recording CD-quality audio to the iPad 1 or 2 - Yeti can be connected through a powered USB hub, along with the camera connection kit for the highest quality digital recording to your iPad.
Yeti is a side address microphone, capturing audio at the sides of the grill. For best results, speak into the side of the mic, not the top

Four Different Pattern Modes for Versatile Recording
Stereo Mode
The stereo mode uses both the left and right channels, and is ideal for capturing a realistic, general sound image.
Cardioid Mode
Well-suited for podcasts, vocals, or game streaming, cardioid mode records sound sources that are directly in front of the microphone. It delivers a rich, full-bodied sound.
Omnidirectional Mode
Omnidirectional mode picks up sound equally from all directions. It’s best used in situations when you want to capture the ambience of 'being there'—like a live recording of a band's performance.
Bidirectional Mode
Bidirectional mode records from both the front and the rear of the microphone. It’s ideal for capturing the nuance of a musical instrument, or recording an interview between two people.
