In March Nintendo confirmed the company was developing games for smartphones and tablets. Nintendo also said they won't be ports from the Wii U or 3DS. The company confirmed they are partnered with Japanese developer DeNA to create the games for iOS and Android.
Nintendo said in March:-
"To ensure the quality of game experience that consumers expect from this alliance of Nintendo and DeNA, only original games optimised for smart device functionality will be created, rather than porting games created specifically for the Wii U home console or the Nintendo 3DS portable system,"
