Dirk Riegert is the Creative Director of the Anno series. "Anno 2205" is his fourth Anno title. After working as an editor for a German TV station, he joined the games industry in 2002 working on strategy titles such as "No Man’s Land" (CDV) and "Castle Strike" (Data Becker).
From 2004 to 2011 he was responsible for the conception and communication of "Anno 1701", "Anno 1404" and "Anno 2070", first as Lead Game Designer, since 2009 as Creative Director. Currently Dirk is working for Blue Byte on the latest instalment of the Anno series: "Anno 2205".
On rare occasions, when Dirk is not busy with games or his family, he pursues his passion for music as a singer in a band.
Niklas Modrow joined the games industry in 2004 as a software developer in Berlin. Since then he has worked at Radon Labs as Head of Programming and at EA Phenomic as Development Director, working on titles likes “Drakensang” and “Battleforge”.
After founding his own company he joined the Anno team at Blue Byte in 2013. As Senior Production Manager he is leading the Code, Design and UI team.
Niklas loves everything connected to nerd culture, to travel as well as spending time with his family and dog.
