Arcade table top racer Toybox Turbos which will release for Windows PC from Steam and from the online store for PLAYSTATION 3 on 12th November and from the Xbox Games Store for the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft on 14th November, priced at £11.99
A special promotion is now live which will give players who pre-purchase Toybox Turbos for Windows PC from Steam ahead of next week’s launch a 10% discount.
The new gameplay video reveals a selection of Toybox Turbos’ 35 vehicles, including hovercrafts, taxis and tractors, leaving it all on the table top, and occasionally flying off it, as they compete in the game’s six frantic and fun game modes. Players will sprint for the line in Classic Races, beat the clock in Countdown, pass as many turbocharged toys as possible in Overtake, set their best time in Time Trial, battle bosses in Elimination mode and avoid getting wiped out by the tide in Escape.
With gameplay reflecting Codemasters’ fondly remembered miniature racing titles of the ‘90s, Toybox Turbos features 18 circuits inspired by childhood locations from the breakfast table to the school science lab, each flooded with short-cuts, obstacles and power-ups. Players compete in a series of Cups in the game’s single-player mode and can race in up to four-player local and online multiplayer events, perfect for those just-one-more-go gaming sessions.
