In a fast-paced single-player campaign of 100 turns, players are challenged to match Alexander’s ferocious speed of thought and action. Just as he conquered the known world in 13 short years, players must rapidly capture a multitude of territories from Europe to India while regularly outnumbered by hostile armies.
Rome: Total War - Alexander also introduces six historical battles based on Alexander’s greatest triumphs, as well as four new playable factions: Macedon, Persia, India and the barbarian Dahae. 50 new units are under players’ control, including the Persian Immortal Infantry, Indian War Elephants and elite Macedonian Companion Cavalry. Historical LAN battles are also expanded with new rulesets allowing for 1-vs-2 and 1-vs-3 clashes.
“Rome: Total War - Alexander will test players’ skill and ingenuity, both on and off the battlefield,” said David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. “This epic campaign is as challenging as it is rewarding.”
Rome: Total War - Alexander for the Mac will retail in North America for US $6.99, £4.99 (inc. VAT) in the UK and €5.99 (inc.VAT) throughout Europe. Rome: Total War - Alexander will also be available online for direct download
