1 SEGA launched it in the US on 9/9/1999 before the PS2 Xbox and Gamecube

2 It was discontinued 18 moths after launch and was the last console SEGA released

3 It’s 1.2GB GD-Rom disks didn’t support the new DVD movie format - a major part in it’s downfall

5 GD-Rom (Gigabyte Disc Read-only Memory) optical discs had the pits on the disc packed more closely together giving a higher storage capacity 1.2 gigabytes almost double the storage capacity of a typical CD
