Expansive 3D Browser MMORPG Eldevin Launches After 8 Years

Eldevin has been in development for eight years at the small, self-funded studio. Designed from the ground up, it uses Java technology and is playable in most web browsers on systems running Windows, Mac, and Linux. Founder Packs for early access will be available until midnight on Nov. 29.

Players begin their exciting journey in the Eldevin Kingdom, where the mysterious Elemental Spheres of Power have corrupted the guardians tasked with protecting them, plunging the world into chaos. Now Tristan, the Emperor of the Infernal Empire and guardian of the Dark Sphere, will stop at nothing to satisfy his greed for more power and to conquer the remaining Spheres - even if it means destroying his former homeland of Eldevin. During their quest, players will travel through countless areas, discover lost cities and artifacts, and encounter challenging bosses. With revolutionary real-time combat, Eldevin delivers an exciting adventure for gamers of any age and experience.

Players can ally with the Eldevin Army or the mages of the Arcane Council in an epic quest to protect the Eldevin Kingdom. The game promises hundreds of hours of content and features 14 gathering and crafting professions and several thousand items. Players can take on one of six unique roles - Templar, Warrior, Assassin, Ranger, Mage, and Prophet - but are completely free to mix and match in a classless system of abilities and talents. Adventurers can play solo, participate in group dungeons, and engage in exciting survival challenges. Optional open-world player-versus-player (PvP) combat and competitive game modes like Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Domination extend the experience.

On Saturday, Nov. 30 at 9 a.m. Eastern, indie developer Hunted Cow Studios is launching its flagship project Eldevin, a 3D massively multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG) that aims to be the largest ever played in a web browser.
