Medal Wars: The First One gets Kickstarted! Demo download link - PC



Medal Wars : The First One has just gotten a kick up the behind in the forms of Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter. The game is a goofball WW1 shooter made by one man army Paul Stephen-Davis over a period of four grueling years. Yes it's been a long time coming, but hopefully it has been worth the wait!


Edinburgh, Scotland - May 26th, 2013 - Medal Wars : The First One has just gotten a kick up the behind in the forms of Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter. The game is a goofball WW1 shooter made by one man army Paul Stephen-Davis over a period of four grueling years. Yes it's been a long time coming, but hopefully it has been worth the wait!

After receiving repeated player feedback for certain features, namely Linux, Mac and multiplayer versions. We have recently launched a Kickstarter and Greenlight campaign to help implement these features. Funds raised will go towards hiring additional staff members and programmers to help reach these goals.

The game is currently at Alpha stage and will be released during September, 2013. Feedback on websites IndieDb and Steam Greenlight has been both positive and supportive. The game has gone through considerable changes due to player and reviewers feedback and Medal Wars : The First One is the result.

About Medal Wars : The First One

Medal Wars : The First One is a goofball WW1 shooter currently in development for Windows. Made by one man outfit Retro Army this is the result of four years of slave labour, love, and dedication.

Taking inspiration from the old classics Medal Wars sets out to create a bonkers 2D shoot-fest with it's unique targeting system ( You can perform headshots & footshots!), and to immerse the player in a world chock full of insane characters!

Taking the role of a fresh recruit, It's down to you and your madman partner 'Buddy' to save the inept Green Army from total destruction. After the invasion of Pebble Beach the Black Army seem unstoppable, with more tricks up their sleeves than Houdini, you'll need to use your head as well as your trigger finger if you're to become the greatest soldier ever!
