Channel 4 will release The Snowman and The Snowdog game for iPhone, iPad and Android devices on 9th December to celebrate the brand new sequel to Christmas classic The Snowman. The Snowman and The Snowdog will air this Christmas on Channel 4 – 30 years after the original film and will reunite viewers with the world's favourite festive character, this time with a new set of friends.
Developed with the very broad range appeal of the film in mind, the game will be playable by novices and more experienced players alike – whether young or old. The Snowman and The Snowdog will be set in the distinctive hand-drawn environment of the film and will allow players to create the feeling and emotion of the story through an interactive experience. By taking the main components of the story, the game allows iconic moments from the film to be enjoyed and replayed over and over again. All the film’s key locations and the main characters including the Snowman, Snowdog and the boy will feature in full 3D allowing players to extend their enjoyment of The Snowman world.
The Snowman and The Snowdog game has been created for Channel 4 by East Midlands based developer Crash Lab, founded by veterans of the games industry previously involved in creating TimeSplitters at Free Radical Design, Goldeneye 007 and Jet Force Gemini at Rare.
