Trion Worlds and Syfy present a look at the design of the sets and world of the television portion of Defiance, one of the most ambitious projects in the history of entertainment.
In a packed two minutes and thirty seconds, the creators showcase the combination of alien and human culture that make up the visual identity of Defiance, introducing the virtual and practical sets that make up the futuristic frontier town of Defiance, several different types of aliens species, and the unique bright look of the environments being created for the show and, by extension, the game.
As Kevin Murphy, Executive Producer of the Defiance TV show says, “The key to the show visually is the juxtaposition of the utterly strange, bizarre and different with the familiar and earth-bound.”
