Pocket Climber is a unique endless runner that lets players test their vertical limit as they guide their character up the walls of danger riddled skyscrapers, dodging challenging obstacles and trying to make it to the top.
Pocket Climber is the sequel to a popular classic Japanese arcade game called Crazy Climber produced by Nichibutsu in 1980. Punchbox inherited the original game’s IP from Nichibutsu and has updated gameplay for a modern audience. The Punchbox development team uniquely optimized the iPhone version of the game so players can hold the mobile device in one hand, navigating gameplay with their thumb only, which is the most natural gesture to interact with a phone.
Prior to creating Pocket Climber, CocoaChina also launched the Fishing Joy franchise and their flagship title recently reached over 100M downloads. Fishing Joy snagged the number one spot on the App Store’s Top Free and Top Grossing Games Charts worldwide and the sequel, Fishing Joy 2, also achieved global popularity. Pocket Climber will further build out the company’s mobile games portfolio, available to players around the world.
Pocket Climber will be supported on the iPhone5, iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and will be available in the iTunes App Store for $0.99.
