Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive returns after a six year absence, on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360. The 5th instalment of the popular Dead or Alive series will hit the shelves on September 28th across Europe, sporting a new- more mature- look while staying true to the franchise’s fighting legacy.
Coming off a strong showing at E3 (where it was nominated for several awards, including “Best Fighting Game” by the official E3 awards, the Game Critics Awards), Dead or Alive 5 invites players to once again take on the roles of the DOA fighters. Incorporating a variety of martial arts techniques, unique for each of its characters, the Dead or Alive 5 cast includes notables from the series’ history, as well select characters from the iconic fighting series Virtua Fighter (nominally Akira Yuki and Sarah Bryant). This action-packed brawler is set in visually striking locations around the world in all-new 3D stages that dynamically change as the fight progresses.
To celebrate the release of Dead or Alive 5, Team Ninja announced the simultaneous release of an exciting Collector’s Edition, including a rich content of tangible and in-game items that will enhance the gaming experience. In addition, fans who pre-order the game can choose between two exclusive sets of in-game bunny-style swimsuits: the ‘DOA Angels’ set of white swimsuits for Kasumi, Leifang, and Hitomi, or the ‘DOA Devils’ black swimsuits for Christie, Tina, and Ayane .
The Collector’s Edition, available in the UK exclusively through CentreSoft, will include:
- The Dead or Alive 5 game,
- a set of premium swimsuits for the full cast of playable female characters,
- an exclusive hardcover art book detailing the game’s rich imagery,
