Looking for the perfect anti-air defense prototype when defending endless Auraxian terrain? The talented folks at Nanite Systems are proud to introduce the prototype Sky Lance weapon, found in Sony Online Entertainment's upcoming highly-anticipated MMO first person shooter PlanetSide 2!

An anti-air weapon prototype in development from Nanite Systems, the Sky Lance boasts accuracy and incredible power and was created to combat Galaxy hot-drops on friendly facilities with a single shot. However, the energy required to fire the stationary Sky Lance renders entire facilities vulnerable for minutes at a time. Continued research into ways to manage the power requirements of the Sky Lance is ongoing.

As a sneak peek, SOE has created a design time-lapse video of the Sky Lance weapon prototype with Senior Artist Roel Jovellanos, who walks the viewer through his process, from concept art to the fully textured 3D finish.
