Kinect for Windows 1.5 coming soon in loads of new languages...


Kinect for Windows is coming to more countries in the months to come – Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan in late May. Then in June, Kinect for Windows to Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, India, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
On May, the 1.5 version of the Kinect for Windows release will add a number of new features, “seated” or “10-joint” skeletal tracking providing the capability to track the head, neck and arms of either a seated or standing user. This capability works in both default and near mode. Also coming in the 1.5 release is Kinect Studio, an application that will allow developers to record, playback and debug clips of users engaging with their applications as well as four new languages for speech recognition – French, Spanish, Italian and Japanese.
