PSVita launch comes to Glasgow Scotland - Exclusive party night tonight!...

The UK launch of the PlayStation Vita draws closer as Sony open a shop in Glasgow to demo the new console this week.

Tonight it's invitation only but the rest of the week you can get your hands on the PSVita and play some of the launch games.

More information here on gamezplay.

At night, open and full of PSVita fans
Below are some images taken two hours after the public were first allowed into the venue. When I visited there were almost as many staff as gamers. In the main area there were a couple of women sitting reading travel brochures and plenty of empty booths, as you can see from the pictures.

I did get to try Everybody's Golf and I have to say I was disappointed in the experience. The OLed screen on the PSVita wasn't as clear as my iPhone 4 and the game was slow to load and didn't play any better than the PSP version.

Can a handheld console have too many controllers? With buttons, control sticks, back touch screens the PSVita is certainly well stocked with them.

Anyway, the store is in Glasgow all week so why not go along and see for yourself.

Now what holiday should I book? Or did you just want a seat?

Upstairs, more consoles to try
