Lagoonia, recently unveiled more new multiplayer features for its co-operative tropical paradise. The title, which blends the charm of a sandbox game with exciting social interaction on a remote South Sea island, now includes in-game quests which send players off to the foreign islands of other players, where characters can talk, flirt and grant each other’s requests.
By granting the wishes of foreign characters, players are handsomely rewarded with all-important energy points, which prolong that character’s life. Players also have the opportunity to become “best friends” with one another, similar to characters. This is represented with a graphical five-star status between friends.
The focus of Lagoonia is on the relationships between characters and players - and players need to recognise and fulfill the needs and desires of each character. One can plan and create many things that make the island first survivable, then livable and fun: from a warm fire and a cozy shelter, to useful fish nets, and later in the game lighthouses and even waterslides. The game is free and no download is required – the only technical requirements are a browser and an internet connection.
