Cooking Mama games - 12 million sold worldwide

Launched on Nintendo DS in 2006, the first Cooking Mama title thrilled players with its unique and vibrant art style, tons of fun mini-game cooking challenges and educational gameplay. It also introduced the world to the now iconic character – Mama herself.

Since then, Cooking Mama World titles have continued to be a success on Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii consoles, and have seen Mama branch out into such activities as gardening (Gardening Mama), crafting (Cooking Mama World: Hobbies & Fun) and babysitting (Babysitting Mama). The latter Wii title broke new ground for video game releases by coming bundled with an individually hand-stitched, life-size plush baby doll peripheral.

The November 25th launch of Cooking Mama 4 on Nintendo 3DS and Cooking Mama World: Outdoor Adventures on Nintendo DS, sees the series’ ninth and tenth iterations. Cooking Mama 4 introduces all-new features that utilize the exciting new features of the Nintendo 3DS hardware, including 3D rewards for players after completing challenges and four-player wireless competitive gameplay. Cooking Mama World: Outdoor Adventures sees Mama and her family step out of the kitchen and into the wild outdoors, in an island adventure that sees players catching bugs, collecting fish and participating a wide variety of outdoor pursuits.
