First ever Angry Birds "Crowd Game" to be organized at the Singapore F1 GP

Rovio Entertainment, in cooperation with Singtel, is delighted to launch the first ever Angry Birds Crowd Game at Singapore F1 GP. Rovio, the creator of the global phenomenon Angry Birds, has teamed up with Uplause Ltd., the creators of the world’s first live event gaming platform, to develop a new Angry Birds crowd game that can be played by audiences at live events.

Rovio and Uplause will take this innovative new gaming experience to the biggest live events in the world. Everywhere from sports stadiums to rock concerts, fans both new and old will get a chance to participate. When the audience is the controller, everybody gets to join in on the fun.

“Through social participation, our fans will get to interact with the Angry Birds in an entirely new way,” says Peter Vesterbacka, Mighty Eagle and CMO of Rovio. “We think this new form of gaming will give fans a great opportunity to form a strong emotional connection with the characters.”

“This partnership opens a tremendous opportunity for both companies to grow and create amazing experiences for biggest live events in the world,” says Veli-Pekka Marin, CEO of Uplause.

After the initial launch in Singapore, Rovio plans to bring the experience to more events and all Angry Birds fans around the world.
