“1000 Heroz is definitely being played – a lot,” said Tero Virtala, CEO of RedLynx. “We have been keeping stats on our server which show just how dedicated the 1000 Heroz player base is.”

Those statistics include:

★ Over 20 million game restarts since launch
★ Over 5 million completed runs
★ Over 6000 custom Friend Leagues created

The premise of 1000 Heroz couldn’t be simpler. Each day, you guide a new hero through a brand new level, running and jumping to get the fastest time possible. You can restart as many times as you like to get best time possible.

You can also revisit previous levels whenever you like – and there is no requirement to play the new level every day – the levels are always there, waiting for you.

1000 Heroz is available for $0.99 for iPhone, $1.99 for iPad through the iTunes App Store:

What is 1000 Heroz?
1000 Heroz is the first iOS title and the second game in our Heroz franchise. It’s an original mixture of platforming and racing with a unique twist: the game offers something new to play every day – for 1000 days.

Something new every day for 1000 days?
Yep. Every day, there’s a new adventure waiting for you. For 1000 days, you will take control of a new hero every day and guide them through a new level. Your aim is simple: get the best time possible. If you’re fast enough, you can unlock the hero’s signature relic. Your best time will also be submitted to the daily Leader Board. At the end of the day, the Leader Board is locked and you get Skill Points based on your time.

So there will be Leader Boards?
There will be two types of Leader Boards: one time-based Leader Board for every level and overall Leader Boards for both Skill Points and gold gathered.

What are Skill Points?
You get Skill Points for competing in Daily Runs. The faster your time, the more Skill Points you get. The more Skill Points you gather, the more extravagant your Hall of Records becomes.

What’s a Hall of Records?
Your Throne Room is where you keep the fortune that you’ve amassed over the course of the game. The unlocked Relics are placed in the Hall of Records along with the gold that you’ve gathered on your journey.

What’s a Relic?
A Relic is a Hero’s signature item that symbolizes their life. There are 1000 Relics in 1000 Heroz, and each Relic has a description linking it to the Hero it belonged to.

Who developed the game?
1000 Heroz was co-developed by RedLynx and Traplight Games, an independent studio based in Tampere, Finland.

Is 1000 Heroz a sequel/prequel/predecessor to MotoHeroz?
1000 Heroz takes place in the same universe as MotoHeroz, and shares some features in common, such as racing, heroes and the game world.

In addition, throughout the MotoHeroz game, the main character discovers a number of Ancestor Spirits on your journey. Those same Ancestors and many more, are the stars of 1000 Heroz.

How much does 1000 Heroz cost?
1000 Heroz will be priced at $0.99 for the iPhone version and $1.99 for the iPad version.

Does the game have Game Center, OpenFeint or Retina Display support?
Yes. Both versions have Game Center and OpenFeint support, and the iPhone version has Retina Display support.
