El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Never-Before-Seen Screens - PS3 X360

Showcasing the Mesmerizing Artistic Direction from the Legendary Sawaki Takeyasu, Never-Before-Seen Screens Provide Further Evidence That El Shaddai Will Be One of the Most Visually Stunning Games of the Year.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, which is scheduled to launch this summer for X360 and PS3. Following a wildly successful launch in Japan last week, all new art, never-before-seen screenshots and photos from the Japanese launch festivities are now available for the highly anticipated title.










Among the never-before-seen screenshots, players will be able to see protagonist Enoch as he, led by the Lord’s top angel Lucifel, enters the tower of Babel on his quest to capture the renegade Fallen Angels. Meanwhile, the photos from last week’s Japanese launch provide a glimpse into the various events and merchandise that coincided with the game’s release, including limited edition Edwin jeans, T-shirts, umbrellas, posters, comics, and more.




The excitement around the release in its native Japan was palpable: Japan’s foremost gaming magazine, Famitsu, bestowed its esteemed Gold Award upon the game, praising its beauty, ease of play, and memorable characters. Japanese gamers greeted the April 28th launch of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron with ecstatic fervor, lining up overnight for a chance to purchase special designer blue jeans inspired by those worn by the game’s hero, Enoch. Tens and thousands of viewers tuned in to see the game’s creators on the popular NicoNicoDouga webcast, and diehard fans attended a sold-out fan event in Tokyo’s trendy Kabukicho district. A temporary “El Shaddai Café” was opened for several weeks, drawing long lines of fans eager to dine on unique El Shaddai-themed food and drink, as well as a chance to purchase limited-edition collectables and view original pieces of Sawaki’s art. By week’s end, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron ranked as the best-selling new game on Amazon.co.jp.
