Hit kid's karaoke TV show Staraoke comes to the iPhone and iPad

BeiZ today is proud to introduce Staraoke 1.0 for iPhone and iPad.

Staraoke is a unique and non-violent game that combines three things kids love: singing, games and friends! Staraoke is originally a Karaoke PC game that became a hit television show.

Now BeiZ in association with Intervisio brings this sensational children's singing game to the iPhone and iPad. Children will have fun singing together and developing their musical ability with Staraoke.

Targeted at elementary school age children Staraoke lets children control a cartoon character on their screen by singing along to various songs. The software recognizes the singer's pitch and keeps the character on the path unless you sing off key. Children will quickly develop their singing ability to win as many points as possible. "Children love computer games and singing. Staraoke combines these things and you can even learn to sing with the game, says Antti Seppanen, CEO of Intervisio.

Singing contest mode is a Karaoke competition for up to 4 people meaning instead of your children sitting staring at screen, they will be having fun with their friends, singing, and from our experience, dancing along as well. Actually we have found most parents want to join in as well. This isn't just a mobile game, it's fun for the whole family.

The Staraoke game comes bundled with 3 popular kids' songs. Songs included are "Brother John", "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Old MacDonald had a farm". Additional songs will be downloadable soon.

Staraoke is the ideal game for parents concerned about what games their children are playing. BeiZ's CEO Mika Heikinheimo explains "I am a father myself so I wouldn't want to produce games that I wouldn't let my own child play. We were excited to bring Staraoke to the iPhone and iPad because it is already a popular non-violent PC game, but also there is a multiplayer mode so up to 4 players can play the game together. We do our best to make games that are not digital babysitters but have some real value for children."

Language Support:
* US English US, English UK, French, German, Swedish and Finnish

Game can be easily played using the iPhone/iPad's built in microphone. True fans of this game might want use a headset or dedicated iPhone/iPad compatible microphone. Some pointers to get the best results: don't cover your iPhone microphone with anything, hold the phone close to your mouth and of course don't forget to sing loud enough for your microphone to pick up the sound of your voice (as if you would want to sing in a whisper). You should also adjust the volume of your iPhone/iPad so that it is not too loud or your voice will be drowned out by the music.
