With all his awesome TALENT and FLAIR, surely it would be IMPOSSIBLE for a sudden and devastating invasion of colossal Doom Beasts to descend on the Earth’s cities and cause havoc without his knowledge? No, it’s not, and the fact that he was posing for photos at the time has nothing to do with it.
To save the Guardian Of Earth’s reputation, as well as the Earth itself, players must not only defend the cities from ravenous hordes of Doom Beasts, but must also defend the Guardian of Earth against accusations of gross incompetence from the Galactic Council of Justice - and this is all BEFORE players can even start to get to the bottom of just who OR what is really behind the invasion.
Paul Croft, head of games, Mediatonic, comments: "It's been a long wait but we're hugely excited to see our second minis title going live across the world! Overall it took us longer than planned to develop Who's That Flying?!, but we learnt a lot during the development and it took us several iterations to find a game style and mechanic that really felt right to us.” Paul adds; “It's always a nervous time launching a game and waiting to see what the reception is like - we're really grateful for all the support and feedback we've received from the community so far and can't wait for people to start playing the game."
Writer and producer Jim Griffiths says: “We’ve taken the immediate jump-in-and-go feel from side-scrolling shooters and mixed that with some tower defence-style strategy (just enough to give it a twist!). We feel the result is a really interesting blend of mechanics and something we hope will appeal to the discerning tastes of minis players.” He continues, “We’ve also packed in as much drama and humour as we can, both in the cut-scenes and throughout the levels – we really like it when we can surprise our players and maybe make them smile. That’s what we’re hoping for!”
Who’s That Flying!? is available to download now, priced £3.99, €4.99 and $5.99 according to region.
