Comparing the gaming statistics of Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and the hit game with the top AAA first-person shooters on the market. The findings? On the Xbox 360, Black Ops performed no better than Halo: Reach or Modern Warfare 2.

- Halo: Reach was king for average total playtime on the first day - 6.19 hours
- Modern Warfare 2 came out on top for average total playtime during the first week - 23.37 hours
- Despite significant marketing hype neither Medal of Honor nor Battlefield: Bad Company 2 were able to achieve the same level of interest from gamers compared with the top 3 FPS games.
The stats for the top three games are so closely in tune with each other that no dominant game stands out. Ultimately, we may have to revisit this battle in a year, and determine which game stands out when it comes to longevity. Modern Warfare 2 currently reigns supreme, as it was No 1 on Raptr's most played charts for over 10 months.
Raptr is also giving away up to $5000 in prizes such as an Alienware Gaming PC, Call of Duty: Black Ops Gunnar eyewear and Logitech gaming peripherals for eligible gamers playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. Prizes are currently being unlocked and awarded after the FPS game hits certain gametime milestones. Full details on the contest promotion can be found at http://raptr.com/contest/codbo.
