Stonetrip Announces Promotional Pricing for ShiVa 3D Advanced Editor to Support Developers Creating Games on Macintosh
Stonetrip, a leading 3D engine company for games and 3D applications, today announced special pricing to help support its growing development community, and in particular developers using Macintosh computers to create their games and apps. Since ShiVa 3D is not currently available on Mac, Stonetrip is giving developers €300 off the normal price of €1499, to offset the costs of popular virtual machine software and Windows operating systems that are needed for Mac users to create games with the engine today.
The company is also gearing up for the release of ShiVa 1.9 later this summer and the special pricing will give users of other engines an additional incentive to move to ShiVa 3D which does not currently charge for updates or version upgrades. The company also has a single license structure that saves developers from buying a license per platform as some other engines do.
“There are competitors that will be charging for the next upgrade of their product and this is the perfect time for developers to switch to a better development engine,” said Philip Belhassen, CEO of Stonetrip. “We know that Macintosh users have some barriers to using ShiVa, and we want to remove the obstacles and make developing on ShiVa just as compelling for them as it is for developers using PCs.”
The pricing will remain in effect until the launch of ShiVa 3D 1.9 later this summer and anyone purchasing the current version of ShiVa 3D will receive the 1.9 release for free.
