Set in the misty mountains and dusty museums of Cancun, Mexico, around 1935, the player takes the role of a recently graduated female archaeology student working together with Dr Emily Jones and setting out to uncover antique artwork collections, the player has to solve a series of challenges to progress.
The Treasures of Montezuma features stunning graphics, bonus levels, mini-games and authentically atmospheric background music. Gamers are faced with a playing field filled with colourful stones which disintegrate into sand and dust once a combination of three or more identical stones is found. The player swaps stones around using the touch screen in order to collect all the jewels in each field before the time runs out.
FMG Managing Director, Michel van Elmpt comments, "The Treasures of Montezuma is a rich, rewarding and hugely enjoyable title aimed FMG's core audience, the casual gaming public. We're delighted with the game as a real pinnacle in the match-3 genre and we are confident of its success in the UK."
The game features:
* Classic match-3 gameplay
* 41 levels spread over 5 episodes.
* 4 bonus mini-games, eight bonus levels.
* 9 trophies to earn in the game.
* Stunning graphics and atmospheric background music.
The Treasures of Montezuma for Nintendo DS will be released on 21st May 2010 with a suggested retail price of £24.99.
